What is the CKD Stage 3?

According to GFR, chronic kidney disease is divided into five stages kidney disease. Compared to the early stage and end stage, a person with Stage 3 CKD is in the middle stage which is characterized with the moderate decline of renal function. More precise, stage 3 kidney disease is further divided into two parts: Stage 3A is 45-59ml/min and Stage 3B is 30-44ml/min.

How does it affect patients’ life?

Due to moderate renal function, a person with stage 3 renal disease is more likely to suffer from some symptoms like high blood pressure, diabetes, swelling, fatigue, itching skin and so on. These symptoms which not not affect kidney healthy, but also can aggravate other systems’ health. If left treated, it will rapidly develop into Kidney Failure eventually.
