The adrenal glands are a pair of triangular-shaped organs situated on top of the kidneys. And it is made up of adrenal cortex and adrenal medulla. Well then, how do adrenal glands affect the kidneys?
The function of adrenal glands.
Usually, they secrete more than 50 hormones in the body. They are also responsible for the production of the body’s four major stress hormones: adrenaline, cortisol, DHEA and norepinephrine. These hormones produced by the adrenal glands control a variety of body functions, such as maintaining metabolic processes (blood sugar levels and inflammation), regulating the body’s salt and water balance,controlling the “fight or flight” response to stress, maintaining pregnancy, initiating and controlling sexual maturation during childhood and puberty, and producing sex steroids such as estrogen and testosterone.
How does adrenal glands affect the kidney health?
As we all know, when the adrenal glands are damaged by some certain risks and they will lose these abilities which are the mentioned above. In these condition, kidney also fail to work properly and patients are more likely to be invaded and meantime, they will also suffer from the a series of symptoms.
