They are responsible for filtering extra wastes and toxins from the blood, regulating blood pressure, producing urine and promoting production of EPO and activating vitamin D. However, once kidneys are unable function properly, patients will suffer from different disorders of body systems. Due to decreased of renal function, patients’ immune system is more likely to be attacked. Patients with low immunity also are prone to be attacked by bacteria, virus, or polluted environment.
