How to Relieve Fatigue or Tired After Dialysis

2015-01-16 16:09| Font Size A A A

How to Relieve Fatigue or Tired After Dialysis Fatigue or tired is the common complaint among patients undergoing dialysis. It may makes the patients do not want to have another dialysis treatment. So far, one of urgent things for them is to relieve the feeling. Well then, is there any better ways can help dialysis patients?

Before introducing available treatment options, I’d like to share some information about the causes of fatigue.

Actually, dialysis is just a machine that replaces parts of lost renal functions including discharging metabolic wastes, excessive water and electrolytes from the blood to some extent. It can not fully replace the kidneys’ functions and it cannot do somethings such as secreting erythropoietin, prostaglandin, renin, parathyroid hormones and regulating the metabolism of phosphorus and calcium, etc. Meanwhile, living with dialysis, there will be a series of side effects and complications including fatigue, low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, muscle cramp and so on. The main reasons of fatigue after dialysis are the loss of kidney functions and malnutrition due to dietary restrictions. Besides, anxiety, spirit stress, and worry can be another reasons for fatigue.

Then, next thing is how to relieve the symptom?

To be frank, the root way to get rid of fatigue is to reduce the frequency of dialysis and improve kidney functions. In our Treatment center point, we do recommend a natural treatment called Acupuncture therapy. It is one of important treatments in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). A doctor will use a long and thin needle insert into your acupoint through skin. It can regulate your body’s Qi and promote blood circulation so as to supply the blood to the kidneys. In addition, more effective treatment called Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can be available for you. It not only can help relieve related symptoms but also can help reduce frequency of dialysis.
