Early symptoms of chronic nephritis in children
Chronic nephritis refers to a medical condition featured by inflammation in the kidneys. In it’s early stage, the symptoms various from individuals to individuals. And common symptoms of chronic nephritis in children are summarized as follows:
1. Swelling around the eyelids
In chronic nephritis, as the kidneys became inflamed, they will not be able to remove extra fluid and maintain the balance of electrolytes. As a result, excess water and sodium will accumulate in the body. In addition to eyelid swelling, pitting edema of lower limbs can also occur.
2. Protein in urine

3. Hematuria
There are two types of blood in urine, both gross hematuria and microscopic hematuria. As for the former one, it can be seen by naked eyes and it’s color can be tea-colored or red. As for the latter one, it can be seen by microscope. And the onset of hematuria is the main cause why people go to their doctors. If poorly controlled, the prognosis will be affected largely.
4. High blood pressure(mild to moderate)
When kidneys are damaged, they will fail to regulate blood pressure as normal. And the degree of hypertension usually range from mild to moderate.
