Is There Any Permanent Solution to Purpura Nephritis
Question:
My daughter age 25 has HSP since 1 year, and it has affected her kidneys. Doctors treated her with steroids initially. After that there is no medication. But rashes appears on a regular basis in a short interval. Is there any permanent solution? Kindly reply me.

Answer: HSP is the one of most common types of systemic vasculitis in childhood. Glomerulonephritis (HSPN) occus in 30-50% of HSP patients, mostly in a mild form but a small percentage of patients present with Nephrotic Syndrome or Renal Failure, therefore, attach importance to the treatment of Purpura Nephritis.

How does HSP cause glomerulonephritis?

We all know that HSP is usually associated with allergens and abnormal immune reaction. When allergens enter body, they can cause overactive immune reaction so that massive immune complexes are produced. With blood circulation, those immune complexes come into kidneys and deposit on them, leading to renal inflammation, which over time damage kidneys and impair renal function.

Steroids for HSP

To reduce renal inflammation caused by HSP, steroids and immunosuppressants are often used. They can suppress immune system and reduce renal damage. But once patients reduce or stop the medication, inflammatory reaction will flare up, and associated symptoms will come back. That is why your daughter has rashes again in a short interval.

Permanent solution to HSPN

In fact, the types of immune complexes can be detected by immunological module check. When it is clear, you can take some treatment to clear those immune complexes out of body, and then HSPN patients can get rid of medicine and lead a normal life. Here we recommend her to try Toxin-Removing Treatment, also known as Detoxification Therapy. It is made up of Plasma Exchange, oral Chinese medicine, external Chinese therapies (like Medicated Bath, Foot Bath, Navel Therapy, Steam Therapy, etc), Cytokine Infusion Therapy, Ozone Therapy, etc. Those therapies can work together to increase urination, improve bowel movement and make her sweat so as to increase the output of wastes including immune complexes from body. They can also restore the balance of anti-inflammatory cytokines and pro-inflammatory cytokines to reduce renal inflammation and prevent further kidney damage. Moreover, they can improve blood circulation and increase blood flow into kidneys so that essential elements can be transported into nidus to speed up kidney recovery.

-After about one week’s treatment, massive immune complexes will be passed out of body, which can be observed from urine.

-After about half month’s treatment, her skin rashes will become light. Other symptoms such as proteinuria, hematuria, high blood pressure, anemia, swelling and so on will get alleviated.

-After about one month’s treatment, her Purpura Nephritis will be under control.

With treatment going on, her disease can get complete remission.
