a. Dialysis imbalance syndrome. The incidence of dialysis imbalance syndrome is 3.4%-20%, featuring as nausea, vomiting, headache and even convulsion, coma and death.
b. Hypotension. It is the most common side effect, and the incidence is about 20%-40%. If happens in the middle and later period of dialysis. Fast ultrafiltration, anemia, high dialysate temperature, and heart ischemia can all lead to hypotension.
c. Heart failure. Heart failure is the most serious and dangerous side effect of dialysis.
d. Skin itch. Dialysis can trigger or worsen the symptom of skin itch.
e. Muscle spasm. The incidence of this symptom is 10%-15%. If often occurs in intestinal muscle and the foot and other parts like abdomen and upper limbs.
